Opening of the 2023 Tax Filing Season
The online iFile application is supporting tax years 2021, 2022, 2023 and estimated payments for tax year 2024.
We stop processing returns and payments each year during our annual cut over period from late December to mid-January. Debits scheduled to be withdrawn between 12/26/2023 and the date we resume processing may be delayed.
- A completed federal return. You will need information from your federal return in order to complete your Maryland return. If you wish to electronically file your federal income tax return, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has entered into agreements with several private companies to provide free electronic filing of federal returns. Some of the companies are including State returns as well. Visit the IRS Free File web page to see if you qualify.
